Through the National School Lunch Program, free and reduced-price meals are provided to those students who meet eligibility guidelines. Every student has access to an application either in paper form or the online application. The paper application is available at the Student Nutrition Center or your students school. The online application can be accessed from any computer with internet connection.

For the first 30 school days, Cherry Creek students will keep the same paid, free or reduced price meal status as the previous school year. During this time, a current school year application must be completed. Paper applications can be submitted to the school kitchen or the Student Nutrition Center or an application can be completed online, for quicker processing. After completion of application, a new determination of eligibility will be made. Completion of an application does not automatically qualify a student for the free and reduced price meal program. Once the Food and Nutrition Services office receives an application, eligibility determination can take up to ten business days to complete. Applications for free or reduced price meals may be completed at any time during the school year.

Eligibility for the National School Lunch Program could allow your student access to discounts for school related activities. You may also be eligible for Medicaid or insurance through the Child Health Plan Plus program. Please contact Cherry Creek Schools Insurance Outreach Liaison at 720-554-5063 for more information about medical benefit eligibility.

A copy of the Letter of Eligibility must be obtained from the student's parent or guardian. To request a replacement copy of the Letter of Eligibility, the parent or guardian may contact the Food and Nutrition Services office at 720-886-7172.

The online meal application will be available in English and Spanish starting July 1, 2018 for the 2018-19 school year.

For further information, please call Food and Nutrition Services at 720-886-7172.
